Focus and Scope

The As-Sibawayhie Journal of Islamic Education and Studies is an academic platform designed to foster scientific dialectics to broaden knowledge and deepen intellectual knowledge in two key areas: education and Islamic studies. Within the educational sphere, the journal facilitates in-depth studies on a spectrum of strategic issues, ranging from pedagogical innovation and curriculum reconstruction to the internalization of character education, to educational management based on Islamic principles and values. These studies not only examine the internal dynamics of the education system but also examine global challenges that test the sustainability of Islamic education and formulate adaptive strategies to ensure educational institutions remain relevant and competitive amidst the currents of modernity. Through an integrative and holistic approach, the journal is committed to contributing to improving the quality of education at both the local and global levels.
Meanwhile, within the realm of Islamic studies, the journal serves as a scholarly arena that critically and constructively explores various dimensions of Islam. The scope of its discussion includes discourse on contemporary Islamic thought and philosophy, studies of Qur'anic interpretation and sciences, studies of hadith from a modern perspective, as well as studies of Islamic law and contemporary fiqh with an orientation towards Maqasid al-Shariah. Furthermore, this journal also raises discourse on Islamic economics and finance, Islamic political thought, Islamic psychology and spirituality, and an exploration of the values of Sufism and Islamic ethics as the moral foundation of life. Thus, this journal functions as a strategic medium that integrates the depth of Islamic scientific tradition with the demands of the times, in order to produce progressive thought that is rooted in authentic scientific principles.
